The Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non-profit association dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for everyone at our school. Our mission is to foster a close relationship between home and school, encouraging caregiver involvement in school activities and supporting teachers with additional resources.

The great news is that, as a caregiver for a student at Carver Elementary, you are already a member of the PTO - there's nothing more you need to do to join. The PTO is for working and/or stay-at-home caregivers, caregivers with a lot of time or those that have random slots of thirty minutes throughout the year, caregivers that like to network and meet new people or those that prefer to do something individually to support our school. We hope to provide many avenues to volunteer, participate, and get involved in your child's educational community.

Getting involved with  the PTO is a fantastic way to contribute to the success and well-being of both students and staff at Carver Elementary. Volunteering your time and/or resources can make a significant difference in the quality of school programs, events, and overall environment offered to our students. By contributing to the PTO, you help fund field trips, provide classroom supplies, and host events that enrich the school experience of both students and staff. Additionally, your involvement fosters a stronger sense of community and collaboration among parents, teachers, and school administrators.

Attend PTO Meetings

Every parent or caregiver is encouraged to attend monthly PTO meetings. Meetings are held in-person, with a virtual option for those that prefer, on the first or second Monday of the month. Meetings are a great way to stay updated on all things happening at Carver Elementary and have direct input into our future. Take a look at our PTO calendar to find meeting dates and times that work for you.

Volunteer with the PTO

There are a variety of committees to plan and support the assortment of events we hold throughout the year. Update your registration to opt in to volunteer emails throughout the school year, or sign up to help with the current events happening in our school. We have options starting at 30 minutes - we welcome everyone to get involved in whatever capacity works for your family.

Volunteer in the Classroom

Volunteer opportunities within the various classrooms will be offered throughout the year. Everything from a one-time shift to regular involvement, there are opportunities to fit any schedule. Teachers often send notices through their classroom newsletters, so keep your eyes open for the needs of individual classrooms.

Donate

Don't have time to volunteer or attend PTO meetings but want to support our mission? This option is for you! You can donate directly to the PTO. Your donations help the PTO fund events, field trips, classroom supplies, playground equipment, books, technology upgrades, music programs, and so much more.
