Dear Carver Elementary School Families,
I hope this letter finds you well and ready for an exciting new school year! My name is Jessica Couillard, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new President of the Carver Elementary School PTO. As we approach the 2024-2025 school year, I wanted to take a moment to extend a warm welcome back to each of you and share a bit about what you can expect from us this year.
This is my first year serving on the PTO, and I’m excited to share that half of our board members are also new to their roles. Together, we are a dedicated group of volunteers made up of working parents, all committed to enriching the Carver Elementary experience for our students and families. We are grateful for the many volunteers who have contributed to our school community in the past and continue to do so with their time and talents. Your support is truly appreciated!
My motivation for joining the PTO stems from my own experience when my youngest child started kindergarten. I found myself feeling a bit overwhelmed by the size of our school and the many transitions that came with it. To make the experience less daunting, I began volunteering at events and in the classroom. It didn’t take long for me to see how vibrant and supportive our Carver Elementary community is. I was deeply impressed by how the PTO fosters a sense of belonging and creates wonderful opportunities for our students.
This year, our goal is to build on that strong foundation by expanding our reach to include even more families. I want to ensure that every parent and caregiver feels welcome and encouraged to participate in PTO meetings, share their thoughts, and volunteer for committees or events. We understand that everyone’s time is valuable and often stretched in many directions, so we aim to offer a variety of involvement opportunities that fit different schedules and interests.
As our school continues to grow, we see immense potential for our volunteer base to expand and further enhance our community. Your participation, whether big or small, makes a meaningful difference and helps us provide memorable experiences for our students.
I wish everyone the best of luck as we embark on this new school year. May it be filled with exciting transitions, successful endeavors, and joyful moments. Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to working together to make this a fantastic year for Carver Elementary.
Warm regards,
Jessica Couillard
